The Group

Sloth had dominated the lives of these 7 men, the odd ten years ago. They decided to leave this life behind and based on sheer vanity and self-idolatry they crawled onto the nearest stage. Possessed by greediness for fame and money, they made daring plans to raise … an a-capella-group.

Enflamed by their interpersonal jealousy and driven by this lust for fornication they hoped to commit along the way on their path to eternal fame, they sang as if their lives depended on it.

Now, 10 y later, they have all converted and lead a chaste and devout life. They only have 1 sin left: their audience. To please the public they will still sink to infernal depths.

D-Base is synonym to an evening filled with heavenly slows and diabolical rock-music. The perfect mix between winged melodies and incinerating sing-alongs. Don't deny yourself D-Base... it would be a sin... a deadly sin...

Wrath

Tom Cavens "Ticking Timebomb Tom"
Counter-tenor / screamer

 

You might want to avoid trouble with this muscular primate. He can unleash unsurmountable power and is able to get into an inhumanly galactical amount of rage… a lethal combination. Luckily, for the time being, all this energy is sublimed into his divine angelical singing. When you hear this counter-tenor, you get the urge to passionately kiss him… though we would strongly advice against it!

Gluttony

Roeland Van Rooy "Love-handle Roeland"
Tenor

This man literally devours everything, at any time night or day. He takes no measure in quantities of food that he wolves down, but gluttony also dictates his life in other areas: he will digest, with unchecked valour, different commitments and challenges coming his way. He is, in other words, the well-fed driving force of the group.

Jealousy

Dries Raeymaekers " look at- me, that means you! and you!..."
Tenor

He is jealous of Stijn's glittering bling bling, of Rik's sexy goatee, of Tom's power and Roeland's energy, of Rolle's voice and of the ease with which Mark sings. Bottomline: he is jealous of everything and everyone.

Strangely his jealousy has been the drive which turned this man into the performer he is now. Have you seen him in action? You'd be jealous of him!


Greed

Stijn Mertens "Needy greedy Stijn"
Baritone

This guy is a disciple of modern consumer society. His happiness is measured by his possessions, he wants it all and he wants it now. A real fashion- victim loaded with all sorts of gadgets: the latest cell-phone, fashionable design-clothing, at least six friends and… a blue-velvet baritone-voice.


Lust

Rik Donckers "hardcore Ricky"
Vocal percussion/Baritone

It's a rumour that every man thinks about sex every 7 seconds. That would make Rik the the mathematical equivalent of about 10 average men. He radiates an overdose of physical attraction. Having an x-factor of above 8 on Richter's scale, you won't be surprised we made him our very own vocal percussionist… with lips like that…
